CoursesWe custom design courses to suit your organisation. We both develop materials and deliver training - giving you the advantage of presenters who know the material "inside out". We collaborate with Registered Training Organisations to deliver nationally recognised training across a range of management and technical subjects. Look at a brief description of some of the work we have done so far:
National training packagesWe write training materials for competencies within nationally recognised industry training packages - this means that your staff can be assessed to receive statements of attainment, which can lead to a nationally recognised qualification. For more information on national training packages, go to the website for the Australian National Training Authority ANTA. Many of the courses we have developed have been for public training providers and can be accessed from these providers. Nationally accredited coursesWe are able to develop course competencies specially designed for your organisation and have them accredited as nationally recognised courses within the vocational education and training framework. For example, we have written and successfully applied for accreditation for over 25 different qualifications for Occupational Diving. Online coursesWe believe that online learning is an exciting new development in learning - but it should not be a stand-alone learning tool. Our preference is to offer online material supported by print-based resources. Similarly, we promote mixed mode training, using a combination of face-to-face, online and self-paced printed materials wherever possible. In our online course development, we specialise in providing a learning framework that utilises existing resources wherever possible. This means we can focus on targetting the information to your needs, instead of reinventing the content. Along with a philosophy of clear, straightforward instructional design, without unnecessary clutter and distraction, our online courses are affordable and excellent value for your investment. We also facilitate online courses - for both full classes or individual learners.

Swinburne University of TechnologyPrint-based resource
Although this course has been superseded, due to the introduction of training packages in the Outdoor Recreation Industry, it is worth mentioning to demonstrate the diversity of skills and knowledge we can offer. We were involved in both the development and delivery of training for the well respected BMLC qualification. Bronwen Campbell and Rob Gatt of Active Learning Partners were contributors to the Handbook "Bushwalking and Ski Touring Leadership Handbook". This excellent resource is into its 2nd edition and is available from the Bushwalking and Mountaincraft Training Advisory Board (BMTAB). For details refer to their website http://www.bmtab.org.au. Copies are available from the BMTAB, 332 Banyule Rd, View Bank 3084. The price is $440 for a box of 26 or $22 for a single copy or multiples thereof. Prices include GST but not postage and handling (which of course depends on quantity and destination). The books are generally shipped within 24 hours of receipt of an order.
